Even More New Machine Tool Investment
After the very successful investment in a new Doosan Puma 280, 3-axis machining centre; Brauer is looking to go furhter by adding another Doosan Puma Lynx 220B, 3-axis machining centre. This new investment will allow Brauer the ability to manufacture turned products to 320mm diameter with a maximum speed of 5000 rpm ,this additional capacity will allow greater flexibility when prioritising through-put. This should see output times reduce by more than 35%.
Brauer now has a full complement of Doosan turning centres which allow greater flexibility. The Doosan V850 is a vertical turning centre and as the work holding chuck is positioned in a vertical upright plain, the billet being machined can have a maximum weight of 850kg and be to an overall diameter of 700mm, Brauer with its unique material handling system has high output rates for such difficult processes.
Sitting in the middle of the above machines, Brauer has the Doosan Puma 400 range of machines, and the Puma 280 range of machines. This class of machine is seen by many as the overall workhorse of many engineered applications. With “Live” tooling, Brauer can machine complex, multi faceted parts in a single set up, thus iimproving efficiency and service to customers, whilst at the same time reducing cost.
