What are fixed gap air amplifiers?

Fixed gap air amplifiers (Airmovers) are compact devices that use compressed air to move larger volumes of surrounding air.
They are commonly used for conveying small parts, particles and granules, extracting fumes and gases, and for cooling products, machinery and other components that need temperature reduction.

How do fixed gap Airmovers work?

They use a preset annular gap to create a high-velocity air stream that entrains ambient air, amplifying the overall flow with no moving parts. The gap is factory-set and cannot be adjusted in normal use, which keeps performance consistent and prevents unauthorised changes.

Can the airflow be increased if needed?

If an application requires a higher output than the standard setting provides, additional shims are available from Brauer.
These shims increase the fixed annular gap in controlled steps, allowing an engineer to boost flow beyond what can be achieved by compressed air pressure alone while maintaining predictable operation.

What makes high temperature Airmovers different?

High temperature Airmovers are designed to operate where process or ambient conditions are too hot for standard units.

They are built from stainless steel to handle elevated temperatures while still providing the same air amplification principle for movement of air, fumes and particles.

How do high temperature Airmovers work?

Like other air amplifiers, they use compressed air to generate a fast-moving internal jet that induces a much larger volume of surrounding air. This creates a strong outlet flow that can remove smoke, powders, dust and general fumes using a relatively small amount of compressed air.

Where are high temperature Airmovers used?

They are suited to applications such as hot process lines, ovens, foundry environments or other areas where components and air streams reach very high temperatures. Construction in 316 stainless steel allows these units to withstand demanding thermal and environmental conditions while providing reliable air movement.

What is an aluminium air vac

The Ring Vac is a venturi-based, compressed-air-driven conveying unit used for moving products, particles and particulates over longer distances. Aluminium models offer a lightweight, corrosion-resistant option for general industrial use, while stainless steel versions are available for more aggressive or hotter environments.

How does the Ring Vac work?

Compressed air is supplied to the body of the unit, creating a venturi effect that draws in surrounding air and any material at the inlet. By connecting hoses to the inlet and outlet and supplying compressed air, the device behaves like a simple air conveyor with no moving parts.

What are high flow extractors?

High flow extractors are venturi-based devices designed for very rapid removal of large volumes of air and airborne contaminants. They are used where quick, high-capacity extraction of fumes, vapours or hot air is required.

How do high flow extractors operate?

Compressed air or saturated steam is passed through a mixing chamber and polymer cone assembly, creating a powerful induced flow of surrounding air.
This produces high induction ratios, meaning a relatively small energy input generates a much larger extracted airflow.

What is a Ring Blade?

A Ring Blade is an annular air device used to dry, clean or cool continuous products that have no clear start or end, such as wire, cable, extrusion, sealing strips and similar long-length materials.

How does a Ring Blade work?

The unit opens at a hinge point so it can be placed around an existing product line without cutting the material. Ambient air is entrained into this flow, increasing effectiveness for drying, cleaning or cooling.

In this section, we’ll explore strip airmovers in more detail.

What is a Strip Airmover?

A Strip Airmover is a linear air device that produces a continuous curtain of air along its length. Multiple units of different lengths can be used to create a complete air barrier or blow-off line across wider products.

How do Strip Airmovers work?

Compressed air is introduced along the strip, exiting through a narrow slot to form a flat, high-velocity sheet of air.

This sheet can be aimed at a surface to remove liquids, dust or loose particles, or positioned as a barrier between two areas.

An air gun mounting ring is a support component designed to hold Brauer air-operated products securely in place.

It provides a straightforward way to mount air tools and devices in fixed positions or on adjustable supports.

Why use dedicated mounting hardware?

Using purpose-designed mounting rings improves safety, repeatability and ease of setup. It allows air units to be installed, moved or serviced quickly while maintaining correct alignment and support in day-to-day operation.
