B Series axle brackets — four sizes of cast iron axle brackets with machined bores, bosses and mounting faces, for axles from 25mm to 85mm diameter. Maximum load ratings from 3500kg to 20000kg with the bracket in compression.

Description

This series of four sizes of malleable cast iron axle brackets features machined bores, bosses and mounting faces. The brackets are slotted through one mounting hole, allowing the bracket to be positioned by bolting through the solid side, and the axle to be positioned laterally before being clamped by tightening the bolt through the slotted side. Material: S.G. cast iron to BS2789: 1985: 420/12. Bolts can be supplied on request. The maximum load rating applies with the bracket in compression. B1 series brackets suit 25-40mm axles (3500kg), B2 series 45-50mm (7000kg), B3 series 60-70mm (12000kg) and B4 series 75-85mm (20000kg). These brackets are used with the Brauer ‘A’, ‘BA’ and ‘CA’ series axle assemblies.
