Floor Locks
Floor locks — a positive means of stabilising trolleys and mobile equipment by preventing horizontal movement. Two sizes to suit castors with 100mm (4″) or 150mm (6″) diameter wheels.
Description
Brauer floor locks are used to steady the trailer or trolley to which they are fitted in order to prevent horizontal movements. Floor locks are not designed to act as a jack — for that kind of application use the Brauer jacking unit or jacking castor assembly. To ensure safe working it is essential that each floor lock is fitted as closely as possible to one of the swivel castors or wheels on the trolley or trailer. There is some built-in resilience in the foot pad, which will allow for some variations in floor level, but any attempt to vary the fitting height from the catalogue specification will give failure and/or damage. Please note that the floor lock can be severely damaged if the linkage is operated whilst the truck is moving. Floor lock top plates have fixing holes to suit 10mm diameter bolts. FL-0206 suits castors with 4″ (100mm) diameter wheels — 150mm mounting height, 125mm retracted height. FL-0207 suits castors with 6″ (150mm) diameter wheels — 210mm mounting height, 170mm retracted height.
